Route Overview
Arrive in Beijing, the starting city of this 10-day visa-free China route through Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Your local guide greets you at the airport and transfers you by private vehicle to your hotel in the city, about an hour away depending on traffic. Check in and rest after the flight, using free time to settle in before Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City sightseeing tomorrow.

Visit Tiananmen Square, then enter the Forbidden City, the former Ming and Qing imperial palace complex of halls, courtyards, and museum collections. Your guide explains the main axis and palace layout as you walk south to north. In the afternoon, board the high-speed train to Xi'an. Your local guide meets you on arrival and transfers you to the hotel for two nights.

Drive about one hour to the Terracotta Army to see life-size clay soldiers, horses, and chariots from Qin Shi Huang's mausoleum complex. Walk the excavation pits with your guide and learn how the figures were arranged by rank. Return to the city for the Great Tang All Day Mall, where street performances may include pipa music, juggling, and face-changing shows, then overnight again in Xi'an.
