Day by Day Itinerary
Your guide leads a walking visit of Tiananmen Square, then enters the Palace Museum (Forbidden City), the imperial palace complex with about 600 years of history, explored on foot. After a buffet lunch as listed, drive about one hour to the Mutianyu Great Wall. Wall time is about 2.5 hours; you may take the cable car or open-air chairlift, with round-trip cable car or chairlift and toboggan included as listed. In the evening, return to the foot of the Wall for a complimentary tea ceremony experience, then continue to your Beijing hotel for overnight stay.

In the morning, your guide picks you up for the Temple of Heaven; if it is closed on Monday, the visit changes to Beihai Park. Ride a traditional rickshaw through Beijing hutong alleys and stop at a local siheyuan courtyard house to learn about traditional residential life. Lunch can be arranged on your own around Shichahai. After lunch, walk along Houhai Lake, then visit Yonghegong Lama Temple in the afternoon, followed by the Summer Palace. In the evening, you are returned to your hotel drop-off point within Beijing’s Third Ring Road area as arranged.
