In the early morning, your guide picks you up from your hotel for Tiananmen Square, then enters the Palace Museum (Forbidden City), a roughly 600-year-old imperial complex explored on foot. If the Palace Museum is closed on Monday, the visit changes to the Summer Palace. Afterward, drive about 1.5 hours to the Mutianyu Great Wall.
