Your East China tour begins in Shanghai. On arrival, your guide greets you and transfers you by private car to your downtown hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free after the transfer, with no fixed sightseeing schedule. Rest after your flight or take a short walk near the hotel to settle into the city before tomorrow’s Lujiazui skyline visit and onward travel to Wuxi.
Begin the morning at the Lujiazui Skywalk observation decks of the Shanghai World Financial Center or Jin Mao Tower for views of the Pudong skyline, Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai Tower, and the Bund buildings across the Huangpu River. Continue to the Huizhou-style Ancient Village Food Street for a meal that mixes Anhui village architecture with Shanghai local food. In the afternoon, travel to Wuxi by bus or high-speed train and explore the Qingming Bridge water lanes before hotel check-in.

Start at Changguangxi Wetland Park on the shores of Taihu Lake in Wuxi, with lakes, reed beds, and boardwalks for a morning walk. Visit the Taihu Pearl Museum to learn about pearl farming and harvesting. After lunch, travel by car or high-speed train to Nanjing for the Confucius Temple and Qinhuai River scenic area, then stroll Laomendong Historical and Cultural District before returning to your hotel.

Explore Nanjing this morning at Stone City Archaeological Park, then visit the Jade Art Exhibition Center for jade pieces spanning the Neolithic Age to the Ming and Qing dynasties. Start at Meijiawu Tea Culture Village on the west side of West Lake, a Longjing tea-producing village. Continue to the G20 City Balcony on the Qiantang River for open views of the riverfront, and visit a nearby health and wellness center as listed. After lunch, return to Shanghai by high-speed train or private car. In the afternoon, walk Nanjing Road, Shanghai’s well-known pedestrian shopping street, then check in to your hotel.
After breakfast, enjoy free time until your scheduled airport transfer from the hotel.
