DAY 1

Upon arrival by flight or train in Xi’an, your English-speaking guide meets you at the airport or railway station exit and transfers you by private vehicle to your downtown hotel (about 1 hour). After check-in, the rest of the day is free. Rest in your room after travel, or take a short walk near the hotel to get a first sense of this former capital of 13 dynasties. You may also try a local noodle shop for spicy oil noodles or beef paomo. Overnight at Grand Dynasty Culture Hotel or similar hotel prepares you for tomorrow’s Terracotta Army and City Wall day.

DAY 2

After breakfast, your guide picks you up around 8:30 AM for a full-day Xi’an sightseeing tour. In the morning, drive to the Museum of Qin Shi Huang’s Terracotta Army to see the underground figures that have stood for more than 2,000 years. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Xi’an Ancient City Wall for a walk or bike ride along one of China’s largest and best-preserved ancient city walls, with views over the old city and modern skyline. Return to your hotel around 6:00 PM. Overnight in Xi’an.

After breakfast, spend the day exploring Xi’an at your own pace. Shop, sample street food, or walk areas near the Ancient City Wall on your own. If you prefer a guided outing, two optional itineraries can be arranged at extra cost: a full-day visit combining Xi’an Museum and the Muslim Quarter, or a half-day visit to Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and the Muslim Quarter. After breakfast, check out and meet your guide in the hotel lobby. According to your flight or train schedule, you are transferred by private vehicle to Xi’an Xianyang International Airport, Xi’an Railway Station, or Xi’an North Station for your onward journey. Pack a little extra time for airport or station security, especially on busy travel days.
