Day by Day Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Xi’an Xianyang International Airport, a private vehicle will transfer you to your downtown hotel for check-in. After settling in, the rest of the day is at your own leisure. Following a long flight, you may rest in your room to adjust to the time difference, or take a casual walk nearby to experience the vibe of this ancient capital of 13 dynasties. You may also find an authentic local restaurant and enjoy a steaming bowl of oil-spiced noodles or beef paomo (crumbled flatbread in beef soup), starting your Chang’an journey with a taste of local flavor.
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a full-day tour of Xi’an’s historic sites. First, climb the Xi’an Ancient City Wall for a walk or bike ride on China’s largest and best-preserved ancient city wall. Then drive to the Terracotta Army of Qin Shi Huang archaeological site. On the way, stop at a terracotta figurine workshop where you can make your own mini terracotta warrior and learn about traditional northern Chinese residential architecture. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then enter the core area of the Terracotta Army site to witness the awe-inspiring underground army that has slept for more than 2,000 years. Return to the city in the evening, stroll around Bell Tower Square to feel the bustling energy of the ancient city center, then return to your hotel.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and explore freely near your hotel. Your guide will then meet you for check-out and take you to Muslim Quarter to visit the Gao Family Mansion and enjoy a shadow puppetry show. Next, head to North Square of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda to photograph the pagoda and watch the 12:00 music fountain show (subject to official schedule). After lunch, you will be transferred to Xi’an Xianyang International Airport for your evening flight to the next destination, concluding your 3-day ancient capital tour.
