Upon your flight’s arrival at Beijing Airport, your local guide and driver will greet you at the exit. Depending on traffic conditions, the drive to your downtown hotel takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. After checking in and settling in, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy. Following a long flight, you can choose to relax comfortably at the hotel and adjust to the time zone; if you’re energetic, you can also venture out on your own, take a stroll through the surrounding streets, and experience the first breath of this ancient yet modern city.

After breakfast at the hotel, first head to Tiananmen Square, one of the world’s largest urban squares and a site of great significance in China’s modern history. Then, walk across the square and enter the Palace Museum (Forbidden City), the vast imperial palace complex with over 500 years of royal residence history and more than 800 palaces and halls. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Heaven, this stunning religious complex where emperors once prayed for abundant harvests. The itinerary also includes a short stop at a traditional tea house to delve into the exquisite art of Chinese tea culture.

After breakfast, take a car to the Mutianyu Great Wall in Huairou District. This is one of the best-preserved sections of the Ming Great Wall, nestled among rolling mountains. It boasts different scenery in all seasons: blooming flowers in spring, snow-capped peaks in winter, and a unique visual shock no matter when you visit. After the tour, you will visit a jade factory to learn about the jade carving craft that has been passed down for thousands of years in Chinese culture, symbolizing virtue and nobility. Return to the hotel in the evening, and the night is yours to arrange freely.
