Day by Day Itinerary
In the early morning, a private car will pick you up from your hotel in downtown Shanghai and travel westward along the Beijing–Shanghai Expressway. After about 1.5 to 2 hours, you will arrive in Suzhou. Your first stop is the ancient water town of Tongli, where you will stroll along old canals and ancient bridges to experience living history. Then enter the old city of Suzhou and wander leisurely through the Pingjiang Road Historical Block, visiting Couple’s Garden and distinctive local museums along the way to gain insight into Wu culture. Before returning to Shanghai, you will visit the Suzhou Silk Museum to trace the exquisite craftsmanship from silkworm cocoon to elegant clothing. In the evening, your private car will take you back to your hotel in Shanghai, completing a perfect one-day Jiangnan cultural journey.
