Day by Day Itinerary
Your journey begins with a guided walking tour of Tiananmen Square, allowing you to experience the grand scale and profound history of this iconic landmark firsthand. You will then enter the Palace Museum (Forbidden City), a vast imperial complex with a 600-year history, which requires exploration on foot. After lunch, drive approximately one hour to the Mutianyu Great Wall. Hiking the Great Wall takes about 2.5 hours; you may choose to take the cable car or open-air chairlift based on your physical condition and preference. In the evening, return to the foot of the Great Wall for a complimentary tea ceremony experience, then head back to your hotel.

In the morning, your guide will pick you up to visit the Temple of Heaven (if closed on Mondays, the visit will be changed to Beihai Park). You will then ride a traditional rickshaw through the narrow hutong alleys of Beijing and stop at a local siheyuan (courtyard house) to learn about the real life in traditional residential areas. Lunch can be enjoyed independently around Shichahai. After lunch, take a leisurely walk along the Houhai Lake to digest. In the afternoon, visit Yonghegong Lama Temple, followed by the Summer Palace. In the evening, return to your hotel.
