About Century Glory

Choose Century Glory if you want the first of Century Cruises’ new-generation five-star hulls on the Chongqing–Yichang Three Gorges run: electric propulsion (in service September 2019), about 650 guests on 7 decks, and six balcony cabin categories. East Marvel books the live cabin and deck — we do not sell brochure language as a cabin type.

Electric and quieter. Century Glory uses electric propulsion and was the first inland cruise ship to receive the China Classification Society Green Ship notation, plus an EEDI (Energy Efficiency Design Index) certificate. On the river that usually means less engine vibration than older diesel hulls. Confirm the sailing, not a brochure claim.

Same family as Victory and Oasis. She is the older sister of Century Victory and Century Oasis: all-balcony staterooms, Chinese-and-Western dining for meals marked B / L / D, and public rooms that typically include a sun deck, VIP observation lounge, fitness center, theater, Glory Club, and bar. East Marvel matches your dates to live inventory. We do not staff the ship.

Day 1 (Dinner) — Chongqing

Board Century Glory at Chaotianmen Port in Chongqing between 18:00 and 20:30. As you settle into your private stateroom, the anticipation of sailing builds. 21:00 The ship smoothly casts off lines and sets sail into the shimmering river night. 21:15 Gather in the main lounge for an essential safety briefing and orientation, outlining the wonders that await you.

Day 2 (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) — Fengdu

Awaken to the soothing motion of the river and enjoy early bird coffee 06:30–07:00 followed by a breakfast buffet. Your morning is dedicated to exploring the rich folklore and misty paths of historic peaks ashore. 12:00–13:30 Return to the ship for a lunch buffet. The late morning brings relaxing cultural activities 09:30–11:30 before changing into elegant evening attire for the Captain’s Welcome Reception 17:15–18:00 and dinner.

Day 3 (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) — Three Gorges

Today, the Yangtze unveils its most spectacular, towering canyon vistas. Savor breakfast before grabbing your camera on the sun deck as the vessel glides through the narrow, roaring gateway of Qutang Gorge approximately 10:45. In the afternoon, marvel at the vertical peaks of Wu Gorge approximately 12:45. The evening turns festive with the Captain’s Farewell Dinner 19:00–20:30 and a vibrant Minorities and Dynasty crew cabaret performance 21:00–21:45.

15:15–18:15 Goddess Stream (or Shennong Stream). Board small, nimble watercraft to venture into an emerald-green sanctuary. Surrounded by sheer vertical cliffs, hanging coffins, and untouched nature, you will experience raw geological beauty up close.

Day 4 (Breakfast) — Yichang & disembarkation

Your final morning celebrates a monumental human triumph over nature. Savor your last breakfast buffet on board 06:30–07:45 before checking out. Depending on your choice of morning exploration, a comfortable complimentary cruise coach will sweep you through the beautiful riverside scenery to your final destination in Yichang, concluding your timeless journey.

08:00–10:45 Three Gorges Dam Site Tour. Stand on panoramic viewing decks to witness the world's largest hydroelectric project. Look down upon the massive concrete barriers before boarding the shuttle to Yichang, arriving at the Yichang Three Gorges Center Cruise Terminal by approximately 12:30.

07:45 Three Gorges Dam Ship Lift OR Hometown of Qu Yuan. Experience a true mechanical marvel by boarding a sightseeing boat to be lifted over 100 meters inside the world's largest vertical ship elevator, OR explore the cultural memorial dedicated to China's legendary patriotic poet. Following the tour and dam visit, the shuttle arrives in Yichang by approximately 13:30.

Day 1 (Dinner) — Maoping (Yichang)

Your epic voyage against the currents of the historic Yangtze River begins in Yichang.
17:00–20:00 Passengers can take advantage of the complimentary shuttle bus service operating seamlessly from Yichang East Railway Station or Yichang Three Gorges Tourist Center to board the cruise directly at Maoping Pier. Step into the modern luxury of your Century Cruises vessel. 18:30–20:30 Enjoy the embarkation buffet dinner as you get settled.
20:30–21:15 Gather in the grand lounge for an essential embarkation and safety briefing to officially launch your multi-day river exploration.

Day 2 (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) — Three Gorges Dam & Xiling Gorge

Awaken to early morning coffee, tea, and fresh pastries 06:30–07:00, followed by a light morning exercise 06:45–07:15 and a full breakfast buffet. Today, prepare to stand in awe of human engineering during your morning shore excursion. 12:30–14:00 Return to the ship for a lunch buffet. At approximately 14:00 the cruise departs Yichang, launching your sailing journey. Grab your camera on the sun deck at approximately 15:00 as we glide through the spectacular landscapes of Xiling Gorge. Day 3 (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) — Goddess Stream & gorges

The Yangtze unveils its most legendary landscapes today. Fuel up with breakfast before boarding small, nimble watercraft for an intimate exploration of the river's hidden emerald branches.
At approximately 11:00, watch from the observation deck as the ship cuts through the majestic vertical walls of Wu Gorge. At approximately 14:00, the cruise progresses into the narrow, roaring gateway of Qutang Gorge. The afternoon offers a portal into ancient fortresses, leading into a relaxed dinner and a vibrant Crew Cabaret and Talent Show 20:30–21:30.

Deluxe Balcony cabins on Century Glory are 26 sqm with a 180-degree river-view balcony, on Decks 2, 3, 4, and 5. Every cabin in this category already has a private balcony — you are choosing height, not whether you get a view. The published fare is Deck 2 (lobby deck). Decks 3, 4, and 5 are paid upgrades.
Deck 2 — Standard fare (lobby deck)
This is the published Deluxe Balcony fare. Same private river-view balcony as every other cabin in this category — closest to the Globe Dining Room, lobby, reception, and the gangway.
Decks 3–5 — Paid upgrades
Same balcony cabin; you pay the published step for height, not a different room type.
Deck 3 — the first paid step. A little more height, still a short walk to dining and the lobby.
Decks 4–5 — quieter, a wider look at the gorges, and a shorter walk to the upper public rooms. The usual request if balcony time is why you booked.
Request the deck when you book
Write category plus deck on the Trip List — for example Deluxe Balcony Deck 5, twin or large bed. We send that request to the cruise line with your dates. Confirmation is what they return. Cabins are not assigned at random.
After check-in (not a booking plan)
Reception can move you only if a higher cabin is empty that night, and you pay the ship’s difference. Peak sailings are often full. If a higher deck is why you booked, lock it before you pay — do not book Deck 2 hoping to upgrade onboard.

If you want a quieter dining room or a larger suite, ask us to quote a Premier Deluxe or an Executive Suite for your dates. Those privileges are confirmed on the sailing, not assumed from the cabin name.
