About Victoria Jenna
Victoria Jenna has sailed this river since 2009. At launch she was billed as the Yangtze’s first 10,000-ton luxury cruise ship. After a full refurbishment in 2016 she still reads as a large, settled hull: six passenger decks, wide public rooms, and a fare that usually undercuts the newest ships. Guests who want a proven ship and more space, rather than the latest hull, book Jenna.
Classic Space — Wide and Comfortable
10,000-ton scale. About 10,000 GT and six passenger decks. That size typically means a steadier ride and more room in the public areas. Cabin mix. 189 cabins, up to 378 guests. Every cabin has a private river-view balcony, so the banks are in view from the room. Categories run from Superior balcony rooms on Decks 2–4 to Executive Suites, Deluxe Suites, and Shangri-La Suites. Facilities — A Livelier Ship
Jenna is not a quiet compact hull. The onboard program is fuller, which suits families and guests who want more to do after the gorges:

- Your Yangtze voyage starts tonight on Victoria Jenna in Chongqing, a mountain city set above the river. Our dedicated guide and driver will reach you in advance, pick you up from the airport, the train station, or any address in town, and take you to the designated dock. Boarding runs 18:00–20:30; they will stay with you through check-in. Once you are in your stateroom, join the safety briefing. At 21:00 the ship casts off. Chongqing’s neon skyline slips astern as Victoria Jenna moves into the night.

- Deluxe Balcony cabins sit on Decks 2–4. Every cabin in this category already has a private river-view balcony — you are choosing height, not whether you get a view. The published fare is Deck 2 (lobby deck). Decks 3 and 4 are paid upgrades.
- Deck 2 — Standard fare (lobby deck)
- This is the published Deluxe Balcony fare. Same private river-view balcony as every other cabin in this category — closest to the Dynasty Restaurant, lobby, reception, and the gangway.
- Decks 3–4 — Paid upgrades
- Same balcony cabin; you pay the published step for height, not a different room type.
- Deck 3 — the first paid step. A little more height, still a short walk to dining and the lobby.
- Decks 3-4 — quieter, a wider look at the gorges, and a shorter walk to the upper public rooms. The usual request if balcony time is why you booked.
- Request the deck when you book
- Write category plus deck on the Trip List — for example Deluxe Balcony Deck 4, twin or large bed. We send that request to the cruise line with your dates. Confirmation is what they return. Cabins are not assigned at random.
- After check-in (not a booking plan)
- Reception can move you only if a higher cabin is empty that night, and you pay the ship’s difference. Peak sailings are often full. If a higher deck is why you booked, lock it before you pay — do not book Deck 2 hoping to upgrade onboard.
- Want more space
- If you want a larger suite or a quieter dining room, ask us to quote an Executive Suite or a higher category for your dates. Those privileges are confirmed on the sailing, not assumed from the cabin name.
Deck Plans
Deck Highlight: On Victoria Jenna, Superior balcony cabins are 20.87 sqm on Decks 2, 3, and 4 — not Deck 5. Every Superior has a private river-view balcony. East Marvel books the category and deck you ask for when that inventory is open. We do not assign cabins at random. Two twin beds cannot be pushed together into a double, and they do not join into a king. There is no extra bed in Superior. Do not plan to “make a double” after you board. Three guests should book a suite (Executive, Deluxe, or Shangri-La) or a second cabin. Upper decks (Deck 4, and suites): a wider Three Gorges view from the same balcony cabin; a shorter walk to the sun deck and observation deck. Lower decks (Deck 2–3): the same balcony type; closer to dining, the lobby, reception, and the gangway. If walking distance matters, say so on the Trip List. If you are motion-sensitive, ask for midship on Deck 2 or 3. Do not book a “Deck 5 Superior” from competitor copy. Superior inventory stops at 4. Do not plan on upgrading at reception after check-in: it depends on empty cabins, it costs extra, and it often fails in peak months. Suite amenities are a Victoria package — confirm them on your sailing. Executive, Deluxe, and Shangri-La suites, and any Superior sold with Victoria’s amenities package, typically include welcome fruit, nightly turndown with a printed daily itinerary, Executive Lounge drinks, one pre-dinner happy hour (house wine, beer, soda), diet soda at lunch and dinner, house wine and beer at dinner, and a choice of Dynasty buffet or the à la carte dining room (choose at the start of the voyage). Package Wi-Fi is usually the Executive Lounge and lobby. Early tea and coffee before breakfast are typically set out for all cabins. A private shore visit for a group of six or more is a Victoria amenity on some sailings, not an East Marvel private tour.
