Victoria Sabrina – Exterior

Victoria Sabrina

Chongqing–Yichang, on Victoria’s largest ship

About Victoria Sabrina

Sabrina entered service on 18 May 2020. She is Victoria Cruises’ largest ship: about 17,000 GT, seven decks, roughly 286–292 cabins, and up to 690 guests. East Marvel books her only on Chongqing–Yichang — 4 days / 3 nights downstream, 5 days / 4 nights upstream.

The ship is built for a full-river-day rhythm: more restaurants and public rooms, a social onboard mood, and space to move between meals, the sun deck, and your cabin.

On board A DC-grid electric propulsion system on this hull usually means less vibration and engine noise than older diesel ships of similar size. Cabin air is treated by the purification system listed for Sabrina. We confirm that for your sailing.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner (B/L/D) are served in the main restaurant on Deck 2, with a wide river view. Deck 6 has a smaller restaurant and an executive lounge. Also on board: a theatre, bar, sun deck, gym, children’s play area, card room, and reading room.

Cabins we sell Superior Balcony (25.5 m², Decks 2–5), Executive Suite, and Shangri-La Suite. All three have a private river-view balcony. The operator lists further sub-types; we sell live categories on your dates.

Confirm deck, meal letters, and the shore list before you pay. East Marvel places Sabrina as the Yangtze chapter of a China itinerary — embarkation, land days, and English-speaking support included.

Victoria Sabrina sailing route diagram

Day 1 — Chongqing

  • Tonight your Yangtze sailing opens on Victoria Sabrina in Chongqing, a river port stacked against the hills. Our dedicated guide and driver will be in touch first, collect you at the airport, the train station, or any address in the city, and bring you to the designated dock. Check-in and boarding run 18:00–20:30, and they will see you through both. Settle into your stateroom, then join the safety briefing. Departure is at 21:00. Chongqing’s night skyline falls away as Victoria Sabrina eases into the current.

Suite privileges

  • The Deluxe Balcony fare covers your cabin, meals marked B / L / D, and the three included shore visits on your itinerary.
  • Buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the Dynasty Restaurant (Deck 2) on days marked B / L / D
  • Early morning tea or coffee, plus the ship’s morning stretch / Tai Chi
  • Captain’s Welcome and Captain’s Farewell dinner
  • Three included shore visits (coach, local guide, and tickets, as printed on the itinerary)
  • Onboard commentary from the cruise’s river guide
  • Evening entertainment
  • Daily housekeeping, including turndown and a printed next-day itinerary
  • Decks & upgrades
  • Deluxe Balcony cabins sit on Decks 2–5. Every cabin in this category already has a private river-view balcony — you are choosing height, not whether you get a view. The published fare is Deck 2 (lobby deck). Decks 3, 4, and 5 are paid upgrades.
  • Deck 2 — Standard fare (lobby deck)
  • This is the published Deluxe Balcony fare. Same private river-view balcony as every other cabin in this category — closest to the Dynasty Restaurant, lobby, reception, and the gangway.
  • Decks 3–5 — Paid upgrades
  • Same balcony cabin; you pay the published step for height, not a different room type.
  • Deck 3 — the first paid step. A little more height, still a short walk to dining and the lobby.
  • Decks 4–5 — quieter, a wider look at the gorges, and a shorter walk to the upper public rooms. The usual request if balcony time is why you booked.
  • Request the deck when you book
  • Write category plus deck on the Trip List — for example Deluxe Balcony Deck 5, twin or large bed. We send that request to the cruise line with your dates. Confirmation is what they return. Cabins are not assigned at random.
  • After check-in (not a booking plan)
  • Reception can move you only if a higher cabin is empty that night, and you pay the ship’s difference. Peak sailings are often full. If a higher deck is why you booked, lock it before you pay — do not book Deck 2 hoping to upgrade onboard.
  • Want more space
  • If you want a larger suite or a quieter dining room, ask us to quote an Executive Suite or a higher category for your dates. Those privileges are confirmed on the sailing, not assumed from the cabin name.

Deck Plans

Victoria Sabrina Deck -1·Theater Deck plan

Deck Highlight: Reel to Reel Theater, etc. On Victoria Sabrina, “upper” vs “lower” is mainly a price-and-view choice, not a different cabin type. Superior balcony cabins sit on Decks 2, 3, 4, and 5; the published fare rises with the deck. Every one of those cabins has a private river-view balcony. East Marvel books the deck you ask for when that inventory is open — we do not assign cabins at random. Upper decks (4–5, and suites) Wider Three Gorges panorama from the same balcony cabin. Shorter walk to sun deck / observation. Closer to spa, Reel to Reel Theater, and Yangtze Club. You pay the published step up — not a surprise at reception. Lower decks (2–3) Same balcony cabin at the entry fare. Closer to dining, lobby, reception, and the gangway. Four elevators serve every cabin deck. Motion-sensitive: ask for midship on Deck 2 or 3. Request the deck when you book Look at the deck plans, then write category plus deck on the Trip List (e.g. Superior Deck 5, twin or large bed). East Marvel sends that request to Victoria. Confirmation is what the company returns. After check-in Reception can move you only if a higher cabin is empty. Peak sailings are often full. The ship charges extra — that is not our published Deck 2–5 ladder. If Deck 5 is why you booked, lock it before you pay.
