5-Day Chongqing, Wulong, Pengshui & Gongtan Ancient Town Tour

Upon arrival at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport or Chongqing Railway Station, your private tour guide and driver meet you with a welcome sign and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free after the transfer, with no fixed sightseeing schedule. Rest after travel or take a short walk near the hotel to settle into Chongqing before tomorrow’s city highlights day covering the zoo, Liziba, Ciqikou, and Hongyadong.

After breakfast, visit Chongqing Zoo, a popular urban zoo in western China known for giant pandas and more than 230 animal species such as red pandas, golden monkeys, tigers, giraffes, and elephants. Continue to Liziba Light Rail Station to see the monorail running through a 19-story residential building. Visit Ciqikou Ancient Town, with Ming and Qing architecture, bluestone lanes, and local snacks along the Jialing River. Later walk Shancheng Alley and Eighteen Stairs, then finish at Hongyadong before returning to your hotel.

After breakfast, visit the Wulong karst area for the Three Natural Bridges, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site made up of Tianlong Bridge, Qinglong Bridge, and Heilong Bridge. Continue to Longshui Gorge Earth Crack, a narrow canyon with streams, waterfalls, cliffs, and karst rock formations along the walking route. After sightseeing, drive about 70–80 minutes to Pengshui County and check into your hotel for the night.

After breakfast, visit Pengshui Jiuli City, a large Miao architectural and cultural complex presenting Miao history, customs, and distinctive buildings. Drive about one hour to Gongtan Ancient Town on the Wujiang River, known for preserved stilt houses, old streets, stone lanes, and riverside scenery, with a history of more than 1,700 years. After the visit, drive about three hours back to Chongqing downtown and check into your hotel.
